It is not uncommon for one radiator to be hotter than the other, which should not be. Or it's cool in one part of the house and hot in another. This means that the heating system needs to somehow be adjusted or balanced. To do this, control valves or balancing valves must be installed on each radiator or between the arms of the system. Simple causes of heating system malfunctions It is possible that there is air in the heating system and for this reason the coolant does not flow well to one or more heating devices. In the highest places in the pipeline, air taps that can be opened manually, or automatic air vents are installed. Faucets are usually installed on each radiator. In this case, you need to open all the taps and release the air.
It is possible that the design of the system requires balancing. For example, one long shoulder is used and the other is short.Probably the so -called arm length of the dead-end is too long or a ray scheme is used, which requires adjustment. In addition, archaic one-pipe systems are made with flaws. In the result, you have uneven heating process. To fix the problem the balancing valves should be installed on the radiators to make sure that the temperature of all radiators is approximately the same. The principle of balancing is simple- do not close the taps on the coldest ones and slightly "tighten" the hottest ones. As a result, more coolant will go to the cold ones, less to the hot ones, their temperature will even out. After balancing, wait 20 minutes, then measure the temperature again.
Significant closings cannot be created. One of the most important rules of balancing is to open the path for the movement of the coolant as much as possible. The closure is a compulsory measure. Another point that needs to be addressed is too much coolant passing through the radiator. At the same time, the radiator is noisy and this is unpleasant. The reasons for this noise usually lie in the wrong heating circuit, unbalanced (closed) other radiators, too powerful pump in the system. All this needs to be eliminated. Too powerful pump is a disease of homemade heating systems. But here it turns out something else - a lot of money for the wind and noise in the radiators. A noisy radiator requires system balancing or rework. A difficult case is the closure of the pipeline passage opening during installation. It is difficult to identify a defective spot; it may be necessary to redo an entire leg of the pipeline. This is typical for polypropylene pipes, in which material sags are possible during brazing.
